Tired of running....

Sometimes we want something or someone so much that we dont mind running after it/them till eternity or till we get hold of them/it (whichever comes first).
As human beings we have several wants...we all know that but apart from that we also have several expectations from life or people for that matter. We all tend to design our lives to go in a particular way simply because we think it is the best...planning. But as they say life is unceratin... things do not always go as we plan it to be. Now this is when it becomes painful.
"Change".... can we deal with it? is it that difficult? Of course it is ... why?? because we dont know where it will lead us....its uncertainty freaks us out.

Similarly when someone close to us be it our family or friend or colleague ...starts behaving differently , we cannot take it... we try to run behind relationships because we think we cannot survive without it.We expect a certain person to behave or react in a particular way...and when he does not it freaks us out!
Now this was about realtionships,...same is the case with careers or ur day to day events in life.

So what is the solution to it?
probably to accept the change and to let go..... maynot be easy but will save you from pain.
We need to accept the fact that we cannot control people's will no matter how much me try.Similarly we cannot turn certain natural events/phenomena.Somethings are just not meant to be.Its probably for the best!We should stop running behind things that are not possible ....sometimes the best solution is to let go.
But that does not stop us from hoping. If something is really meant to be it will happen... no matter what.

Hope and Faith are 2 things that keep us from breaking down!

  1. i liked the last line! Hope and Faith are 2 things that keep us from breaking down! hope is the feeling that what is wanted can be had. faith is a belief that is not based on proof. so two abstract ideas without any solid stand, influence us so much that our happiness epends on them! what an irony, aint it?
arpita, you said it so easily. accept the change and be happy all your life. yes, indeed. if youve gained this level of nirvana, m sure you must be a genius. enlighten me, is achieving this stage so easy. how often do we really let go? yes, i cud pretend. i cud fake a smile. i cud fake i dont rellay care about what happened. but cud we really let go of these wordly pleasures which rule us? could we see ourself stoping in between our path, witnessing people around us rushing and could we stay calm? i donno.. i just feel its too hard. but i wish i cud follow ur words. i wish i cud think like you. you have a good day arpita. take care.

  2. @sawan: My objective of writing this blog was to present the solution that i found solace in...
I neva mentioned that it was easy.... it is very difficult indeed.but it wont hurt to try...u c!
I guess u didnt understand when i said 'let go...',it involves the element of acceptance of reality, it does't imply faking u emotions...on the contrary it is the opposite of acceptance.
for example;when we see pple around us tryin to push us to move ahead we tend to panic ..does it help ?Of course not! we tend to worsen the situation with the intention of setting things right for us.... look around u,pple who have tasted succcess deal with problems wiht a lot of patience.
No one is a saint here and yes no has attained 'nirvana' to 'to enlighten' u after gautam buddha but that doesnt mean we stop discovering solutions to deal with our life n remain happy.
think about it.... have a nice day.
