When i was a lil' girl LOVE was to receive red roses,cards, gifts, romantic ' I Love U' s and the rest would follow ... simple. It took me quite some time to understand that it is not soo simple. During my teens when I started receiving the 'I Love U' s and the roses et al I realized there s a lot more to this obnoxious thing called love.
Over the years, i have been observing love stories around me and I have come to the following conclusions..
Love is not conditional...
Her: 'He wants me to discontinue my dancing, he does't like it.'
Me:'But u love dancing...it makes you happy.doesnt he kno it?'
Her:'Yes.. he does but he said i should discontinue it if i love him.'
Its not Charity..
Her:'He said he loves me and he said he has been loving me since 7 yrs and never looked at any other gal so told him a yes'
Me: 'Gr8! so u love him too'
Her:'No, but he loves me...poor thing, he said he will not eat or sleep till i tell him a yes'
Me: WTF!@@#$ clear it! he is interested in loving you or blackmailing you???
It is not a Compensating factor..
Her: 'He saved my life'
Me:'So you gave him ur heart? fantastic trade!!@@#$'
Is it necessary to spend the rest of ur life with the person saving ur life... isn't a thank u,respect, gratitude, cash prize(whatever) enough??? I blame bollywood for that..
Its not a compromise to make up for something..
Him: 'I hurt her before, i think i should be with her to make up for it...'
Her: 'But arent you cheating her... she thinks you love her.'
Him: 'No, eventually i may fall in love with her... who knos '
Her:'Wat if you dont?'
Him: ^silence^
I still donno how arranged marriages work. How can you decide if u want to live with a particular person for the rest of your life in a couple of meetings?
Was watching the Ugly truth ( for the nth time...i really love that movie)
Made me think.. do we women really want a living check list? well arranged marriages is nothing but a whole process of selecting the best one with all the items on the checklist.
My ultimate conclusion...Love is nothing but co incidence
Really.. think about it. Both need to fall in Love with each other at the same time. And most importantly both need to be single(preferably);).
